Carl and Patricia Odhner, who co-authored and illustrated
The Secret of the Unicorn Horn, began touring the USA in 1978
with a marionette show based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit
(pictured above). Since then their delightful stories and unique
new form of story-telling, known as Middle-earth Story-telling,
have gradually won the hearts of millions of people. This year their
performing arts company, Middle-earth Studios, will produce
over 1,700 live performances of their stories - at fairs, festivals
and amusement parks. Middle-earth Story-tellers have now
performed for a total live audience nearing 4 million people.
